Caribou Club
Aspen, CO

In the basement of the old Aspen Hardware Store resides the exclusive Caribou Club.  The challenge of this construction involved using an injection system to stabilize the ground and the entire brick exterior of the building.  The building, including the roof, was then gutted and rebuilt.

The end result is a private club with "an English club ambiance for after skiing or after business".  The skillful mix of English tradition, Victorian and western artifacts seems to be the perfect setting for the nightlife Aspen favors.

Blankets and suede-covered chairs characterize the Caribou Club bar.  Photographs were donated by club members such as Martina Navratilova, Danny Sullivan, Frank Perry and Barbara Goldsmith.
