Bear Claw II Condominium
Steamboat Springs, CO
Located at the top of the first ski
lift, this $5.1 MM project required construction of 52 units
within a seven-story structure at the top of the first ski
lift. Approximately 32,000 cubic yards of earth were moved
from the hillside location of the building to create the
parking. The lower and first levels consisted of
cast-in-place concrete walls with precast columns, beams and
tees. On this base, a five story steel structure was
erected. To reduce construction costs and time, wall panels
complete with siding and windows, as well as roof panels, were
pre-assembled off site. Bear Claw II, Value Engineered
by Newstrom-Davis, was completed on time and in budget through the
winter season.
