The Ritz-Carlton Hotel selected
Newstrom-Davis to be the Construction Manager/General Contractor
for the construction of a community ice rink. The Owner
wanted someplace that could be used for art festivals and music
performances during the summer months and convert to an ice
skating rink in the winter. With this in mind, the
continuous pour slab was poured with tent tie downs in the surface
and a unique refrigeration system for converting to the winter ice
rink. Amenities include a warming house, skate rental and
restrooms.
