Shannon Poland, Chief Estimator
Shannon Poland has grown up in the construction business, and specifically with NDCC. You could say his construction career started when he was 5 years old when he would ride on the tractors with his dad on construction sites. He began working as a laborer in 1985 when his grandfather, Robert Poland, owned the company. While moving though the field ranks from labor to supervision, he received his college education at Colorado State University, graduating in 1993. Soon after his father, Rodney Poland, took over ownership in 1993, he became part of the very successful estimating department where he learned firsthand about estimating, buyouts and value engineering multi-million dollar projects. He soon took over the estimating department and became the Chief Estimator where he oversees all pricing for each project.
